So you have to make it a point to get rid of your makeup about twice a year.

Now that we are done with foundation, let’s move on to your lipstick and nails for a while. Nail polish happens to be quite a sturdy product and can go up to around 2 years. That is long lasting indeed. If you think your makeup has met with an infection, toss it into the bin right away. Using infected makeup is never good for the skin. Speaking of lipstick and glosses, they can go up to two years. However, it would be best if you store your lipstick in the fridge. That will help your makeup last longer.

Most researchers and beauticians have concluded that it would be great if you could get rid of your eyeliner or shadow within a period of 3 months. It could also go up to 6 months if you can manage to keep it in a good condition. Also keep checking for a foul smell. The moment you find that smell, discard your eye makeup immediately. In case you have been using pencil eyeliner, you can expect it to last up to 2 years. You need to sharpen it regularly to keep the product clean and allow you to use it for a very long period of time.
