3 Types Of Clay Masks For Oily Skin:
For beginners, it is essential to know that there are different types of clay readily available in the market for different skin types. Green clay, amongst pink, white and red, complements oily skin the best. Green clay i.e., Bentonite is the magic behind the beauty of oily skin. It has proven its efficiency in deeply purifying the oily skin, without over-drying the same. It acts as an anti-bacterial agent to cure redness, skin rashes, pimples and dark spots.
1. Anti-Ageing Clay Mask For Oily Skin:
A mixture of green clay, milk and oatmeal forms a very powerful anti-ageing clay mask for oily skin. Instead of milk, you can use rosewater or simple water too. Rosewater is an option for people who encounter the problem of triggered acne on milk application.
Evenly grate about half a tsp of oatmeal. Grate it until the particles take a complete powdered form.
Mix the oatmeal powder with green clay (3/4 tbsp) and milk to form a paste with an even consistency.
Apply the mixture on your face and neck, and leave it for 20 minutes to dry. Wash with lukewarm water.
Follow this routine twice a week.
Benefits:
The end results would be younger-looking skin with diminished wrinkles, reduced pores and lighter age spots.
2. Fairness Clay Mask For Oily Skin:
A mixture of green clay, lemon juice, egg white and cucumber juice forms a very powerful fairness clay mask for oily skin. You can also use green tea (optional) to increase the anti-oxidant power of your clay mask.
Break an egg and separate its yellow (yolk) and white portions. Take around 1 tablespoon of egg white in a bowl.
Take about 1/4th tsp of lemon juice and drain it in the bowl containing the egg white. Mix the two ingredients well.
Add 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice and 3/4th tbsp of green clay, and add them to the mixture prepared in step 2. Replace lemon juice with mosambi (sweet lime) juice for sensitive skin. Sauté the mixture until it forms an even paste. You can also add green tea (around ½ tsp) to this mixture.
Apply on your face and neck, and leave it to dry for 20 minutes.
Wash your face with lukewarm water. Apply a thin layer of moisturizer evenly on the face and neck, soon after removing the face pack.
You can use this face pack 2 to 3 times a week. It can also be used every alternate day (not to be used so frequently for sensitive skin).
Benefits:
With regular usage of this face pack, your skin will get freedom from blackheads, whiteheads, blemishes and sun spots. The lemon juice will increase the radiance of your skin, making it up to two shades fairer and brighter. Green tea (if added) will protect your skin against further ageing (However, it will not fight off existing wrinkles as efficiently as the first anti-ageing clay pack).

Take one apricot and mash it to form a paste.
Mix dahi/yogurt (about 3/4th tablespoon) to the apricot paste.
Add about 3/4th teaspoon (or less) of green clay to the mixture. Sauté the mixture until it forms a thick paste.
Apply on your face and neck, and leave for 20 minutes to dry.
Wash with lukewarm water.
This face pack is very mild and can be used every second day.
